Music Contest Entry WIP

I am doing this while listening to Nickelback's "This is How You Remind Me." I got to thinking - the reason we like music, and why everyone likes different kinds of music - is because music is about resonating with one's soul.

That's what I am trying to represent with this picture - the soul resonating with music, throwing off everything but what resonates with it - Leaving just the essence of the person, their soul.

Right now this is just the hand drawn version - with a little inversion from Photoshop. I plan to color this and to have light in it's various parts shooting out of the eyes and heart. If I take my time I think this can turn into a beautiful piece. I wish I had a wacom .
